“ There are 3 floors in Le Pont: Ground Floor is where all the bread, pastries and cakes are. The pastry kitchen that is headed by Chef Fadzly and his team, works 24 hours in order to provide their customers with the freshest bread and pastries. The First Floor is where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee, and if you like, you can sit around the open bar and chat with the friendly baristas. The hot kitchen is on the second floor, and it's suitable if you are going in a big group. Also, there's a VIP section if you need some privacy. I always like to start off a meal with a soup dish, and it's very hard to resist a bowl of creamy Mushroom Soup (RM 9.90) with house special mushroom toast. Compare to some, Le Pont's Pumpkin Soup with Mustard Seed and Squid Salsa (RM 13.90) wasn't as creamy and thick, but you could taste the subtle sweetness of the pumpkin in it. A plate of flavourful Caesar Salad (RM 13.90) that's crunchy and refreshing is perfecto during a hot afternoon! I love the crispy fried whitebait which was crispy and savoury, and the slow-cooked egg ties the entire dish together. Salad Nicoise (RM 13.00) is a classic French salad served with green bean, tuna, chopped egg and shallot vinaigrette. The Anchovy Linguine (RM 17.00) is a very simple dish. Linguine pasta tossed with anchovy sauce, seasoned with seaweed, then topped with chopped parsley and served with anchovy grissini. I like how the linguine wasn't drown in the sauce and the anchovy wasn't over-powering. The Squid Risotto (RM 18.80) is a classic white risotto (cheese-based) with sautéed squid. It was creamy and the rice was al dente. This was my favourite dish of that day! Not a fan of the bitterness in the coffee? The Rose Latte (RM 12.50) could be an ideal option for you. It's a very floral, sweet and feminine coffee. Chocolate lovers, you'd definitely go crazy over the Hot Chocolate (RM 11.00). It's rich and chocolaty yet not overly sweet.Last but not least, the dessert - Affogato (RM 12.00). Premium house-made vanilla ice cream using vanilla pod which specially made for affogato. The ice cream was creamy and smooth, and paired perfectly well with the espresso. Since it's a patisserie, how we not end the day with some mouth-watering freshly-baked pastries! The Mini Croissant (RM 1.50) was one of the best I've ever had! It was soft, buttery and flaky - everything you are looking for in a croissant. The Sundried Tomato with Basil Focaccia (RM 4.50) was spongy, and I love how the basil paired nicely with the bread and semi-sour sundried tomatoes. ”
